Title: Technical Writer
Position Description
Ø Works independently and cooperate with development teams to write documentation.
Ø Develops and integrates graphics with deliverable documents.
Ø Assimilates disparate document sources from multiple authors into a single deliverable.
Ø Creates and updates documentation according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, layout, and terminology.
Ø Meet up with production and Technical Team and read journals and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods.
Ø Uses the company's version control system to maintain files.
Ø Performs job tasks such as editing copy, formatting, or converting documents.
Ø Tests written procedures against the product (software or hardware).
Ø Works with other writers throughout all phases of the documentation life cycle using established processes.
Ø Accepts other responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager.
最低要求
Ø 教育：英语、新闻学、传播学学士学位，或相关领域
Ø 相关经验：至少1-2年的经验作为一个技术作家。
能力
Ø 精通英语。
Ø 证明和明确和简洁的方式传达信息技术研究能力。
Ø 电信行业的基本知识，和电信标准（3GPP、3GPP2、IETF等），与电信协议（IPv4，熟悉TCP、DHCP、SNMP、直径等）。
Ø 良好的人际交往能力和与同行进行有效的沟通和培养团队的能力。
Ø 一些经验记录的用户界面，如图形用户界面（GUI），Web界面和命令行界面（CLI）。
Ø 知识的用户界面的可用性测试是一种资产。
Ø unix的基本知识是一种资产。
Ø 基本经验与文件管理和版本控制系统。
Ø 标记语言的基本知识（HTML，XML等）。
Ø 编程概念的基本知识。
Minimum Requirements
Ø Education: A Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
Ø Pertinent Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as a technical writer.
Competence
Ø Excellent command of English language.
Ø Proven ability to research and convey technical information in a clear and concise manner.
Ø Basic knowledge of telecommunication industry, and telecommunication standards (3GPP, 3GPP2, IETF, and so on), and familiarity with telecommunication protocols (IPv4, TCP, DHCP, SNMP, Diameter and so on).
Ø Good interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with peers and develop team.
Ø Some experience documenting user interfaces such as Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs), Web Interfaces, and Command Line Interfaces (CLIs).
Ø Knowledge of user interface usability testing is considered an asset.
Ø Basic knowledge of UNIX is an asset.
Ø Basic experience with file management and version control systems.
Ø Basic knowledge of Markup languages (HTML, XML and so on).
Ø Basic knowledge of programming concepts.
