Plan, develop, validate, and communicate BI solutions to the key stakeholders;
Design, develop, and maintain all parts of the data pipeline and collaborate closely with analysts and business stakeholders;
Acquire, transform, manipulate and analyze data from multiple sources, ensure data quality;
Support ongoing business performance & trends analyses as required to inform management decisions;
Provide internal consulting to help answer key product/process questions;
Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical design specifications and implementation plans;
Identify and lead resolution of data quality issues;
Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;
Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and
Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company.
5+ years in business intelligence/data analysis role;
Demonstrated experience with various business intelligence technologies (applications, databases, ETL, reporting, etc.);
Proficiency with relational databases, data warehousing and big data technologies;
Advanced skills in use of MS Excel (Macros/VBA experience preferred);
Strong SQL skills and some procedural language experience (used for data manipulation);
Familiarity with Data Visualization Platforms (Tableau, Birst, Qlik, Etc.);
Proven experience in developing and executing data models and algorithms;
Demonstrated experience dealing with performance and scaling issues;
Robust project management skills and experience;
Ability to keep track of timelines and deliverables involving multiple projects and initiatives involving participants from different teams;
Creativity in developing and presenting actionable recommendations;
Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand;
Excellent written and spoken communication skills; and
Ability to function independently and as part of a team under aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment, convey a strong professional image
