Job description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Provide accounting support to ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping and periodic closing. Conduct payment verification, and post various types of journal entries for NY business departments. Maintain NY office fixed assets book. Accounting documents filing and archiving. Provide administrative assistance for the department. Work on other assigned duties with defined procedures and under close supervision. Effectively communicate if any problems arise from conducting these job duties.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Previous internship or relevant experience highly preferred, but not required
Must be highly detail oriented and organized
Must be able to multi task to meet required deadlines
Good interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
Working knowledge with MS office, Internet, Emails, Mass data downloads and compiling
Ability to perform Intermediate to advanced Excel functions
Familiarity with ERP system is a plus
