Plan, organize and lead the design activities to support the Order Fulfilment Process, support to Supply Chain and Manufacturing process.
Manage the production engineering aspects of the product launch process with and international team of designers and operations representatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Evaluate effort and cost to ensure delivery meets time, cost and quality targets.
? Act as the lead customer and outside sales interface and be the main engineering interface to outside supplier/customers.
? Lead, manage and develop the team, which includes but is not limited to coaching, mentoring and cross-training.
? Perform or lead continuous improvement initiatives including the implementation of robust processes.
? Lead and participate in design review meetings, with the potential to conduct design presentations to the COO.
JOB RELATED COMPETENCIES:
? Strong knowledge of the order fulfillment process, especially to their specific discipline.
? Strong knowledge of Husky products and customer base.
? Understanding of the Quality assurance process and design application systems.
? Awareness of applicable developing technologies in the industry.
? Proven ability to manage and motivate people, influence others to work towards a common business and/or team goal, resolve conflicts, communicate well with team and others, and provide and be receptive to feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Undergraduate degree in Engineering or 5-10 years of equivalent work experience
? 5-10 years of engineering experience.
? Leadership experience, and previous project management experience an asset.
? Previous hands on design experience.
