Design and implement testing infrastructures to validate a web based GUI application by executing manual test cases. In this role, you will need to possess and understanding of multi-browser supported web based applications, internet technologies and overall software quality assurance methodologies to perform manual testing activities.
• Participate in software code/design/requirements review processes and design and execute a comprehensive test strategy.
• Collaborate with Software Development teams in maintaining consistency and testability.
• Collaborate with Software Quality Assurance, System Engineering and Architecture, Program Management, and Software Development teams in all aspects of the development lifecycle from early design feedback, reliability, stress, performance, and integration testing.
• Create, maintain, and execute test plans and manual test cases. Analyze and report results, track defects, and participate in day to day QA support activities.
• Experience in GUI and Web based testing.
• Ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into unit and solution level test cases.
• Experience working in a continuous improvement environment.
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in teams employing Agile and/or Lean methodologies with the ability to prioritize across multiple tasks/stories/sprints.
• Knowledge and experience in the following languages and technologies: Java, SQL, JSON, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, XML, CSS, Perl, Source Control and Configuration Management tools
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong time management skills with a history of meeting commitments.
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent with 1+ years of working experience.
Additional Skills:
• Experience verifying carrier grade, highly available systems’ performance for effectiveness, growth/scaling requirements, security, and compliance with regulatory mandates such as the FCC.
• Knowledge on US Telecom Numbering and Number Portability requirements and systems is a plus
• Previous participation in a complete, ground-up product deployment.
• Knowledge of IBM Rational a plus.
• Experience with automated testing tools a plus.
